Medical Providers

Dr. Thomas Henderson, M.D. Medical Director. Dr. Henderson, a native of Memphis, is Board certified by the American Academy of Family Practice and has been engaged in the practice of medicine since 1973. He was a partner in a family practice in Dexter, Missouri prior to coming to Faith Family as Medical Director in 2001. He holds a B.A. degree from Harding University and an M.D. degree from the University of Tennessee School of Medicine in Memphis. Dr. Henderson completed his internship at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Liz Threlkeld, Nurse Practitioner. Liz is a native of Oostburg, Wisconsin. She received her undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. Liz received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in 2003. Liz’s favorite pastimes are reading, movies, watching & playing sports and hanging out with friends.

Elizabeth Netsch, Nurse Practitioner. Elizabeth was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and works at Faith Family on a part time basis. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Colorado Health Sciences in 1993. She received her graduate degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Vanderbilt School of Nursing in 2002. Elizabeth enjoys running, knitting, cooking and spending time with her husband and two children.

Carolyn Pratt, Physician Assistant. Carolyn hails from Columbus, Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2004, and her Masters Degree in Science and Medicine from Trevecca in 2007. In her spare time Carolyn enjoys playing soccer, hiking and traveling.

Dianelis Torres, LPN.

Dianelis was born and raised in Cuba. Dianelis moved to the states right after turning 15. She attended MTSU and TTC. She loves practicing nursing. In her spare time, enjoys tutoring /spending time with her 15 year old sister, shopping for shoes with friends and salsa dancing.

Elizabeth Davis, Medical Assistant. 

Elizabeth grew up in Scottsville, KY and relocated to Middle Tennessee in 2000. She earned her Medical Assistant Certification from Fortis Institute. She is a proud mother of three precocious children. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, organizing closets, and watching movies with her babies.

Other Staff

Laura Hobson, Executive Director. Laura is a native of Memphis. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Vanderbilt University. A licensed Real Estate agent for several years, Laura made a mid-career change and received her Masters degree from the University of Tennessee College of Social Work in 2007. Laura and her dog Annie (a certified pet therapist) provide pet therapy to the elderly in and around Nashville. Laura also enjoys reading, gardening, and traveling.

Sheree Keith, Office Coordinator. Sheree is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Sheree attended Volunteer State Community College, majoring in Social Services.Before Faith Family, she has been an Accounts Payable Manager and Administrative Assistant for a law firm.Sheree enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with her 10 grandchildren. Sheree has been with Faith Family since our inception.

Becky Eagle, Prescription Assistance Coordinator. Becky was born in Memphis, but grew up in Franklin, Tennessee. Becky attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She has worked in the retail, marketing and advertising professions. Prior to joining Faith Family she did volunteer work at the Siloam Clinic in Nashville.

Micaela Orozco, Office Assistant. Micaela is a California native. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Latin American Latino Studies from the University of California Santa Cruz. In her spare time, Micaela enjoys dancing, shopping (especially for earrings), speaking and translating Spanish and relaxing times. Micaela also admits to enjoying “being silly,” Jeep Cherokees and parking crooked in parking lots.

Niki McAlister, Accountant. Niki was raised in Woodbury, Tennessee and works at Faith Family on a part time basis. She graduated from David Lipscomb University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Accountancy and Management. She has her CPA license, although it is currently inactive. Niki enjoys spending time with her husband and children, reading, baking, and crocheting.

 

 

Joshua Southards, Operations Manager Joshua has been with Faith Family since the start of 2010. He holds a juris doctorate, and believes his legal training has proved invaluable in his work with medical practices. In his spare time, he enjoys playing with his wife, children, and ever growing number of animals, reading, running, and virtually all sports. He currently serves as the Education Chair of Nashville Medical Group Managers Association and was named the 2008 tutor of the year for another non-profit, Christian Community Services, Inc.

Jeff Wolfe, Program Director, Journey to Health

Jeff calls Graham, North Carolina the home where he spent the first 20 years of life.  He left N.C. to obtain his bachelors degree in Physical Education at Gallaudet University, the world's only 4-year liberal arts university for deaf and hard-of-hearing students, located in Washingon, D.C.  He later went on to become the first deaf CEO of a YMCA branch.  He acquired his personal training certification through International Sports Science Assocation (ISSA).  Before joining the Faith Family Medical team, he worked with Dr. Irv Rubenstein, a renown personal trainer and owner of S.T.E.P.S., Inc. in Green Hills (Nashville, TN).  Jeff enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring nature, playing sports, being with animals, and teaching.  

LaKeesha Nation, Front Office Assistant

LaKeesha Nation is a native of Memphis, Tenn. and since graduating from Tennessee State University in 2004 she has made Nashville her home! Besides spending time with family and friends, LaKeesha likes to shop, bowl, and has a peaking interest in baking.  She has a sincere passion for helping others as well. Recently completing her MBA at the University of Phoenix, LaKeesha is excited about using her education and experience to help Faith Family Medical Clinic to accomplish their future goals!  

Merari Joy Swayn, Front Office Assistant

Merari Joy was born in Puerto Rico and raised in California and Florida. She moved to Nashville in 1998. Merari Joy attended Miami-Dade Community College, L.I.F.E. School of Ministry in Franklin, TN and Harvest Missions School in Pemba, Mozambique where she also staffed for a semester. She has been a Youth Pastor, missionary, worked with orphans and currently works with the homeless community in Nashville. She loves to travel and experience other cultures. She loves to eat all kinds of foods. She loves to dance!
